Introducing Crossroads
Crossroads Community Church is a Bible-believing, Christ-centered church that seeks to know Christ and make Him known.
Our congregation belongs to the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) denomination, a family of churches that are doctrinally Reformed.

Our Beliefs
We adhere to the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms as our foundational statement of belief and practice. This reflects our commitment to the Bible as God’s inspired and inerrant Word. We believe this understanding is most faithfully articulated in the Confession and Catechisms crafted by the Westminster Assembly. Our ultimate purpose is to live for God’s glory, and we find life’s greatest joy in fellowship with Him.
Crossroads exists to...
Celebrate God’s Presence (Worship)
Make Known God’s Son (Evangelism)
Form God’s People (Discipleship)
Demonstrate God’s Love (Ministry)
Incorporate God’s Family (Fellowship)
Our Story

Founded in Hillsborough, New Jersey on Easter 2000, Crossroads began as a small church plant in the PCA — led by our pastor emeritus Rev. Harry Skeele (retired), and partly funded by the generosity of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
Initially meeting in the living room of one of our founding members, Crossroads later moved to temporary locations in Hillsborough Middle School, Triangle Elementary School, and Hillsborough High School.
For many years, we joyfully brought our teaching materials and A/V equipment on a weekly basis to these temporary locations — to worship together and serve the Somerset County community — as we prayed for a more permanent location for a church home.
In 2017, we purchased a historical church building in downtown Somerville, and spent the next two years renovating the venue. In September 2019, Crossroads held its first worship service in the new facility. We are glad to participate in the vibrant community of Somerville, and to serve the spiritual and physical needs of our neighbors in throughout central Jersey.
